PREPARE FOR RECEIVING YOUR ORDER
Have people available to help unload your pergola.

Our pergola kits are shipped via motor freight carriers, who will deliver the kit to your location in a large (often an 18 wheel tractor-trailer) truck. The weight of the pergola kit crates average 1,200 pounds, but could be less or more depending upon the size you order.

The customer is responsible for providing at least 2 people (more for larger kits) at the time of delivery to help unload the kit. The driver is not required to help unload the delivery. Pieces are packed onto the pallet individually and secured for shipping. The customer will remove the bands that are securing the pieces, and then begin unloading piece by piece, inspecting the pieces as they are unloaded. If there is damage to any of the pieces, this must be noted on the delivery paperwork before the driver leaves. In the rare instance of damage, photos must be taken
and emailed to Pergola Depot.

Unload the pergola kit piece by piece and stack in an area that has protection from the elements, or place a tarp or other cover over the lumber.
