F.A.Q.

A timber frame pergola is a strong and sturdy outdoor structure used to create or enhance an outdoor living space and provide shade and style. Pergola Depot timber frame pergolas are built using heavy hand-cut timbers and traditional woodworking techniques including mortised joinery and wood pegs to create strong and beautiful structures.

Most standard orders will ship within approximately 6 weeks after your confirmed order and initial payment. Transit times will range from 1 to 5 business days depending upon your location.

To get your order started, submit a no obligation quote request, after which we will provide an itemized estimate, sketch, and other information. If you accept that estimate, you will pay a non-refundable deposit to receive a shop-set drawing.

Yes, you can submit a custom quote request and we will contact you with questions if needed prior to preparing a cost estimate. You might also find that another one of our pergola styles is a better fit for your project space or budget. Click here to see all of our pergola designs.

With a little regular care your Timber Frame Pergola will under normal conditions remain a beautiful and structurally sound part of your outdoor space for many years (20-30 years or more).  Once a year or as necessary, we recommend checking and tightening any loose fasteners, and cleaning the pergola structure with water, mild soap and soft brush to remove any built-up dirt, which might be particularly evident at the base of the posts.  We do not recommend use of a pressure washer, which can cause damage to the wood.  If using an oil preservative, apply annually after cleaning.  If using stain or paint, apply every other year, or more regularly if desired (particularly in harsh climates).  As always, feel free to contact us if you have questions or would like more information.
