How long does it take for hot tub pergola kits to be delivered?
Once we receive full payment for your order, we add your pergola to our production calendar. Time required to build your unique pergola kit varies based on the wood type, style, size pergola you select, and whether you’re applying for a building permit for your pergola. If you’re wondering – do I need a permit to build a pergola, this is best answered by your local permitting office. If you find out you need a permit, we will put your order on hold until you receive approval. This could delay the production and delivery timeframe of your order. Seasonality also impacts the production and shipping timeline. With all these factors taken into consideration, production timeframe typically ranges from 10 days up to 3 weeks. If you have project timelines to consider, we’ll work with you to coordinate a delivery date that will work for your project. Once the kit is completed at our production shop, the transit time varies based on your location, and can range from 1 day to 14 days.
What tools do I need to install a pergola for my hot tub?
Below is a list of the tools and supplies needed for most pergola styles. Included in your order confirmation email we send out when your pergola kit ships, the installation instructions provide a list of recommended tools to install your pergola.
- Tape measure, hammer, level
- Ladder (tall enough to work the top of your pergola during assembly)
- Screw gun (a star drive bit is supplied with kit)
- 3/4” Wrench
- For new footings: post hole digger, dry concrete mix, gravel, trowel, shovel and mixing bin or wheel barrow
- For installing rebar into post (if posts going into new concrete foundations): drill, 5/8″ drill bit
- For all kits using post bases on concrete: drill; 5/8” masonry drill bit; and 15/16” wrench
- For pine kits using post bases on concrete: you will also need a 5/32″ masonry drill bit, and a #2 Philips bit or #2 Philips screwdriver
- Helper (we recommend at least 2, especially for larger kits)
