How to Incorporate Attached Cedar Pergola into Patio Design

You’ve got your patio planned, and materials chosen, and the project almost complete. Last feature of your patio design you’d like is a patio cover for your dining area. One customer incorporated this into their design by adding a cedar attached pergola to off the doorway that exits to their backyard patio. This design allowed for a little extra space on the end nearest the grill. This particular pergola is a Big Kahuna attached pergola kit made out of cedar.
This design also incorporates another sitting area around an outdoor firepit. Fire features are another favorite design element that you can add to extend the use of your patio well into the cooler months. Outdoor fireplaces range from a DIY fire pit you can build out of leftover pavers from the floor surface of your patio, to a more elaborate fireplace that you can build from a kit or have it custom designed.
